Now that I have gotten your attention, sorry, but the above is the honest truth.
Tell me - Have you ever put any thought into something as simple as your web browser? Why do you ask? Because in the internet-society that we live in, speed and performance are essentials.
You probably started off like (most) of the world, using Internet Explorer, ah good old IE, how you were adored. Internet Explorer has probably served you well over the years too! Nothing wrong with Internet Explorer, I like it, I use it and that's how its going to be.
WRONG!
You could not be more wrong. While Internet Explorer might served it's purpose for you, opening websites, watching YouTube videos, reading blogs and bookmarking websites it is no way near the best. Why on earth would prefer using something inferior, when you could with the click of your mousebutton get a browser that is roughly 6.9 times more efficient (Fun fact: 89.3% of all statistics are made up on the spot).
No, shut up.
I care very little for the fact that you have used Internet Explorer X for your entire life because it is time to move on. I attend classes regularly and it pains me to see my fellow classmates sitting with their laptops out, using Internet Explorer. I hate to impose, but I've caught myself muttering under my breath several times at the inability of Internet Explorer to load websites at reasonable speeds, when my classmates has this new and supposedly hilarious video to show me.
Thanks for wasting 12 seconds of my life waiting for Internet Explorer to get off its ass.
Jeez
This is probably what you are thinking right now. Why would I get so worked up over something as petty as Internet browsing. It's true I admit, this topic makes my blood boil a little more than it should, but it annoys me like nothing else when people, nose sky-high, informing me after I've mentioned that I could get them a faster browser in literally 30 seconds, that "Internet Explorer suits me just fine thank you".
That's great. I'm really happy for you, but when you think about how much time you save by cutting (ca.) 3 seconds off of every page load, it certainly adds up over the years.
Well "Mister Smart Guy"
What browser should I use then? I am so glad you asked! So the most "out there" browsers right now are as follows
Internet Explorer (Fuck no)
Firefox (Better, but still subpar)
Opera (Can work, but you can get better)
Google Chrome (WINNER)
Google Chrome is credit to you.Right, I am not going to go "deep" with why Google Chrome is the best browser in fucking existance, because that might very well change when new versions of the above browsers are released, but here you can have my immediate reaction to Google Chrome after messing around with it for 15 minutes.
Go on,
Try it out for yourself. Leave your favourite browser in the cold and pick up Google Chrome. Use it for a full day and tell me, take fucking videos and pictures, to show me that it does not outdo all the others. There is so much you can do with Google Chrome.
A: It's fast
B: The URL line links directly to Google so if you type in "What the fuck am I doing" in the URL bar, you will get Google search results. The lack of this gets insufferable on other browsers after you've gotten adjusted to Google Chrome.
C: You can pretty much tailor it to your needs, using Add-ons and skins which are as easy to install as clicking 3 buttons in a row.
D: It's fast.
These are the main reasons I use GC anyway.
Alright alright,
There are more things to take into consideration than what I've summed up here, more advanced users might prefer other browsers because of file-sharing functionalities (I am looking at you Opera!) but rest assured that an advanced user would not be reading this anyway and you, average web browser, WILL gain a lot from Google Chrome, if you are not already using it.
That would be all...
....
Okay okay okay okay!
I've not always had this view on things. Actually most of the stuff I post here for you guys to read I've discovered (Been told) as I've used the internet. I started out using Explorer too, but people smarter and more internet-savvy than me have made me realize my error as time continued and I hope this post will pursuade you to try out Google Chrome as well.
P.S. I've also used Firefox and Opera, actually I used Firefox for the longest time. I tried it out in it's latest update. Nothing beats Chrome. Nothing.
HAVE A KITTY
